Teaching Artist
Job Position Summary
As a Teaching Artist with Beautiful Racket you will work directly with youth, cultivating a positive and affirming environment for creative exploration.
You will support Hudson youth in the rehearsal and performance of Camphill Hudson Player’s, an inclusive theatre company, production at Olana State Historic site’s Third Thursday event.
Schedule and Terms
This is a short term contracted position for September 11th (rehearsal) 3:15pm - 5:30pm, September 17th (dress rehearsal) 3:15pm - 6pm, and September 18th (performance) 4:30pm - 8:00pm and will require travel and transporting students between Hudson Youth Center, Camphill Hudson’s Solaris building, and Olana State historic site. Ideally, transportation will be provided by the Teaching Artist but we may be able to make other arrangements for the right candidate.
Compensation
$350 - 500 depending on experience and other factors (ex. transportation accomodations)
The right candidate will:
Be a creative with a vested interest in the empowerment of Hudson’s youth
Have experience working with children and people of all abilities.
Have reliable transportation to and around Hudson, NY and a valid driver’s license
